One front door. Six friends. Everything Ios has to offer, on foot.
Most accommodation in Ios forces a trade-off: stay on the beach and shuttle into town for the night, or stay in town and sleep above a bar. The House solves that. It is a private, self-contained apartment within our estate in the heart of Chora — close enough to walk to every restaurant, bar and café in two to five minutes, and set back enough that the bedrooms are quiet when you finally come home.
The full kitchen, three bedrooms and shared living area mean six people can actually live together for a week — cook a long Sunday breakfast on the terrace, share a bottle of wine before going out, come home to a kitchen you can raid at 3 a.m. It is, simply, the way friends and families want to travel together when they get the chance.
The House sleeps six across three bedrooms, with multiple bathrooms, AC, free Wi-Fi, a smart TV, and our family running the front desk a few steps away when you need anything at all.
Three bedrooms, a kitchen, a terrace, a living room — yours.
Six things that make a friend trip work — and that most hotels can’t do.
A private property — not a hotel room
The House is a self-contained apartment within the Aphrodite estate. Your group has its own front door, its own living space and its own rhythm. You're never walking down a hotel corridor.
A full kitchen for the way groups travel
Stock the fridge from the local market, cook a slow Sunday breakfast, mix drinks before going out. Six people sharing meals at home costs a fraction of six restaurant covers and is, frankly, more fun.
100 metres from everything in Chora
The main square is a one-minute walk away. The famous Ios bars and clubs are two to five minutes on foot. The bus stop for Mylopotas, Manganari and the port is just down the lane. No taxis, no compromises.
Quiet enough to sleep
The House sits back from the main bar streets. You hear Chora come alive every evening — and you can also close the door and sleep. We can flag the quietest rooms in The House at booking if anyone in your group is a light sleeper.
Your own private terrace
A real outdoor space for morning coffee, late-afternoon sunsets and the kind of long, lazy dinners that turn into the best night of the trip.
Three bedrooms, sensibly arranged
Two double rooms and a third room configured for two — flexible enough for three couples, a group of six friends, or a family with older kids and grandparents. Multiple bathrooms keep the morning routine sane.

Who chooses The House
What groups ask before they book
How many people can stay at The House?
The House sleeps up to six guests across three bedrooms. It is our largest accommodation and is designed specifically for groups of friends and families travelling together.
Where exactly is The House located?
The House is in the heart of Chora — the main town of Ios — about 100 metres from the central square and a short walk from the bars, restaurants and shops. The bus stop for the beaches and the port is a few minutes away on foot.
Is The House good for groups of friends?
Yes — it is one of the few private apartments in central Chora with capacity for six, a full kitchen and a private terrace. Groups can come and go independently, cook together, and walk to everything in town without taxis.
Will it be too noisy with the Ios nightlife so close?
The House sits within the Aphrodite estate and is set back from the main bar streets. It is close enough to walk to everything in two to five minutes, but quiet enough to sleep. Guests who need an extra-quiet room can ask us at booking.
Does The House have a kitchen?
Yes. The House has a fully equipped kitchen with stove, fridge, cookware and dining area — useful for groups who want to keep their own schedule, prepare breakfast, or share a meal together rather than eat out every night.
How do we get from Santorini airport or port to The House?
Most guests fly into Santorini and take the ferry to Ios (about 35–60 minutes). From the port of Ios, The House is roughly two kilometres up to Chora — by local bus, taxi, or a short transfer we can arrange.
When is the hotel open?
Aphrodite Hotel & Apartments runs its full season from May through October, when every room and apartment is open. A small number of rooms are also available year-round on request — get in touch and we will confirm availability outside the main season.
Can we book The House directly?
Yes — booking direct on aphroditeios.gr is the best price you will find. Use the "Book The House" button on this page; it pre-selects The House and a four-guest occupancy so the rate is visible immediately.
